8.45 a.m. – 12 noon
1.00 p.m. – 3.20 p.m.
Start of day Information
The playground gates are opened at 8.35 a.m. and staff are on duty from this time. Pupils should not be in the playground before this time unless by prior arrangement.
Pupils should be in the playground before the bell is rung at 8.45am; learning starts immediately, late pupils disrupt lessons & learning. Reminder texts will be sent to parents of pupils continuing to arrive at school after the side gate has been locked. Please do not be offended if you receive a reminder text; parents of pupils arriving persistently late will need to make an appoint to discuss the situation with the Head Teacher.
Parents/guardians/carers are asked to wait inside the main school gates but not access school uninvited through the side gates.
The End of the School Day
At 3.15 the side gate will be opened and parents/guardians/carers of pupils in class 1,2 and 3 should meet their child in the rear playground so that there is a safe handover. Pupils in class 4 leave through the rear hall door to meet parents/guardians in the rear playground or at the front gate. Pupils in class 4 are expected to come back into school if an expected adult is not waiting for them.
Children should be met at 3.20 p.m. Should any parent/guardian be unavoidably detained please telephone school and let us know, this helps to prevent young children from becoming distressed. Staff are involved in after-school activities and meetings most evenings so punctuality other than in emergencies is appreciated. Please note that late collection will incur a charge, please see the SchoolMoney shop for up to date charge.
Please inform the school if your child is being met by a different adult, as we shall not allow him/her to leave the premises otherwise; if the arrangement is on a regular basis please let us have the information in writing, a form is available from the foyer. If a child is being collected by a taxi service or Nursery in order to attend an after-school care club, it is essential that this information is given to us in writing.
