Remote learning

If your child is unwell, they should remain at home to rest and recover before returning to school. This helps to support their wellbeing and reduces the spread of illness to others.

We do not anticipate closing the school unless remaining open would place pupils or staff at significant risk. This may include circumstances such as:

  • Extreme weather conditions

  • Loss of power, heating or water supplies

  • High levels of illness within the school community

  • Advice from public health authorities to close for deep cleaning or to help reduce the spread of infection

Should an emergency closure be necessary, families will be informed as quickly as possible, and arrangements for remote learning will be shared where appropriate within 3 working days.
