Year 6 Bikeability
Well done Year 6!
Bikeability trainer Dee Stephens could not praise year 6 pupils at Newton Burgoland Primary enough during recent training. She was overwhelmed by how kind, courteous and respectful pupils were:
“I just wanted to say how fantastic the children were who completed their Bikeability course with me this week! We had the worst weather and had to cancel Monday, so the children had to catch up on hours worth of work and loads of outcomes on Tuesday to be able to complete the course. When I came in on the Tues I could not believe how amazing they all were. Whenever feedback was given they listened and made the improvements needed to pass that outcome. I didn’t have to repeat myself a million times – I would explain something once and they would listen and get it! It felt amazing and I could not believe they completed the course and did not need any extra time 😊 I am so proud of them all – what an absolute joy it’s been (despite the awful weather). Well done team Burgoland you were superstars!!!!!”
Mrs. Ward, head teacher, commented that, “we work hard with our pupils and families to instil strong, lifelong habits for learning and our year 6 pupils show what can be achieved, even with national lockdowns. Well done year 6!”
