Forest School at Newton Burgoland gives all our pupils the opportunity to explore, discover and learn in the natural environment. Through hands-on experiences, children develop confidence, resilience and independence while building a deep appreciation for the world around them.

Our Forest School sessions encourage pupils to take supported risks, solve problems, work collaboratively and challenge themselves in new ways. From den building, nature exploration and bushcraft skills to fire lighting and outdoor cooking, children develop practical skills alongside teamwork, creativity and perseverance.

We believe that time spent outdoors supports children's wellbeing and helps them develop a sense of responsibility for themselves, others and the environment.
