  • Governors

Our governors are special people who give up their time to support us on our journey to remain excellent for all of our families and pupils.

The role of a governor is to provide strategic leadership, support and challenge to the school. Governors work closely with school leaders to ensure that every child receives the highest quality education and has the opportunity to thrive both academically and personally.

Our governing board is responsible for:

    • Setting the school's vision, values and strategic direction.

    • Holding school leaders to account for the educational performance of pupils and the wellbeing of staff.

    • Monitoring the quality of teaching, learning and the curriculum.

    • Ensuring that school finances are managed effectively and provide value for money.

    • Promoting the safety, welfare and inclusion of all pupils.

    • Supporting school improvement and helping to shape the future development of the school.

    • Building strong relationships with families, the local community and wider stakeholders.

Governors visit the school regularly, attend meetings and training, and bring a wide range of skills and experiences to their role. They are passionate advocates for our children and play an essential part in helping our school remain a place where every child is known, valued and encouraged to achieve their very best.

We are extremely grateful for the dedication, expertise and commitment of our governors, who volunteer their time to help ensure the best possible outcomes for all members of our school community.
