At Newton Burgoland Primary School, we believe that learning and personal development extend far beyond the classroom. Our after-school clubs provide pupils with exciting opportunities to develop new skills, pursue their interests, build friendships and discover hidden talents.
Clubs vary throughout the year and may include sports, arts and crafts, gardening, computing, board games, outdoor and adventure activities, construction clubs and curriculum enrichment opportunities. We also work with external providers to offer specialist coaching and experiences where appropriate.
Our after-school clubs support the development of our STRIDE values:
Scholarship through curiosity and a love of learning
Teamwork through collaboration and shared goals
Resilience through challenge and perseverance
Independence and Responsibility through commitment and self-management
Diversity and Respect through positive relationships and inclusion
Creativity and Enquiry through exploration, imagination and problem-solving
Clubs are open to different year groups and are updated each term. Information about available clubs, dates, times and booking arrangements is shared with parents via our school communication systems.
We encourage every child to take part in at least one enrichment activity during the year and to embrace new experiences that help them grow in confidence, character and capability.
