20/3/26

Dear Parents/Carers,

Thank you to all those who attended our Mother’s Day lunch. It was wonderful to see so many of you sharing the afternoon with us. We are pleased to let you know that we will be holding more lunchtime events next term, and we hope to see many of you there.

As we approach Easter, I am reminded of new beginnings and of the promises we make to one another. My promise to you, as shared on our website, is to support every child to achieve their very best—as if they were my own—because everyone matters at our school.

We fulfil this commitment by promoting our core values of scholarship, teamwork, resilience, independence, diversity, and enquiry. Our role is to help each child discover their unique talents and passions, and to nurture the skills that will help them flourish.

Next week, we will be saying goodbye to Mrs Evanswho is retiring. She has been a much‑loved member of our community, and she will be greatly missed by staff, families, and children alike. We wish her all the best for her travels. I shall miss her constant support, kindness and friendship - she has been much more than a colleague.

The children said:

  • She always helps us when we bang our heads.

  • She is really kind and helps us so much.

  • She is really good at doing first aid.

  • We love you so much because you help us to get better.

  • She’s kind.

  • Thank you for all the nice things you have done for me

  • Mrs Evans helps me when I'm struggling

  • Thank you for always saying 'Good Morning' to me

  • Mrs Evans helped me with my diabetes and made me feel safe when I needed it.

  • She helped me when I hurt myself and she made my day shine. We will miss you

  • Thank you for all the lovely things you have done for us!

Mrs Root will be joining in the office as Mrs Evans replacement. Please say hello when you pop in. We look forward to having her as part of our team.

PFA update

We really need your support! The PFA plays a vital role in enriching the experience of every child in our school. As our meetings are now moving online, it would be fantastic if each family could volunteer just 30 minutes of their time to help with fundraising.

This term, we’re taking part in the £20.26 Challenge, and next half-term we’ll be holding an exciting reading event in school as part of our efforts.

We’re asking every child to raise £20.26 to help the PFA continue making a positive difference for all our children. Every contribution—big or small—truly helps.

Thank you so much for your support!
