Update 31/10/25
Dear Parents and Carers,
Just a quick reminder that children are invited to dress up for Halloween tomorrow and bring a carved pumpkin to enter our Pumpkin Competition!
Entry is 50p, with all proceeds going to Children in Need – thank you for your support!
Please note that there will be no Forest School this week. Instead, Class One and Class Two will enjoy a fun-filled Halloween-themed afternoon.
Looking ahead, Forest School will run from 7th November to 5th December, and we’re very grateful to our regular helpers Mrs Storer and Miss Furborough for making this possible.
We had some very positive feedback from our new food provider Relish’s roadshow attended before half term by staff, parents and children:
“I was really impressed with the choice of menu, quality and appearance of the meals at Relish. We got to try a mix of dishes including sticky chicken with noodles, a veggie curry and spaghetti with meatballs, which all looked great and the kids genuinely enjoyed eating them. The choice of puddings also got their seal of approval! From a parent point of view, I also think the app and ordering system is far clearer and easier to navigate than what we use currently. Having a photo of every dish and a breakdown of ingredients is really handy too." – Sarah Dawson
“As a member of staff who often has school dinners, Relish’s variety and presentation was a pleasant surprise and it tasted yummy too!” – Mr Ikin
Also coming up this term:
- Remembrance assembly
- Sports fixtures
- PFA Movie Night
- Christmas Fair
Wishing you all a safe and spooky Halloween!
Warm regards,
Mrs Sue Ward
Headteacher
