  • School Uniform

At Newton Burgoland Primary School, we believe that wearing a school uniform helps children feel part of our community and promotes a sense of pride in their school.

We ask all pupils to wear our school colours: royal blue and grey, and to come to school dressed neatly and appropriately for learning.

Children should wear sensible, flat black shoes. Trainers should only be worn on PE days, and boots are not suitable for everyday classroom use. For younger pupils, shoes with Velcro or buckle fastenings are recommended to encourage independence.

    Our Uniform

    • Royal blue sweatshirt, with or without the school logo

    • Royal blue or white polo shirt, with or without the school logo

    • Grey trousers, shorts or skirt

    • Blue gingham/piqué summer dress

    • Royal blue fleece, with or without the school logo

    • Royal blue book bag

    • Royal blue PE bag

    Please Note

Book bags only. We do not allow rucksacks in school.

    Purchasing Uniform

Branded uniform items can be purchased from the following suppliers:

    • Your School Uniform
      https://www.yourschooluniform.com/schools/index/newton-burgoland-primary-school

    • My Clothing
      https://myclothing.com/newton-burgoland-primary-school/23369.school

Please check supplier deadlines carefully, especially ahead of the new school year. In our experience, uniform needed for September should be ordered by mid-July.

Families are welcome to purchase non-branded uniform items from supermarkets and high-street retailers, provided they match our school colours.

Pre-loved uniform is available from the PFA.

    Naming and Personal Appearance

Please ensure that all belongings are clearly named, including clothing, lunch boxes, water bottles and PE kit. Clearly labelled items are much easier to return when misplaced.

We recommend MyNametags. By using our school ID 30109, the school receives 24% commission from every order, helping to support school projects and resources.

    Additional Expectations

To help maintain a smart and practical appearance for school, we ask that:

    • Long hair is tied back.

    • Make-up and nail varnish are not worn in school.

    • Fingernails are kept short.

    • Necklaces, chains and bracelets are not permitted.

    • Only small stud earrings may be worn.

    Valuables and Money

    • Please do not send valuable items into school unless a specific arrangement has been agreed with a member of staff. Mobile phones should not be brought into school.

    • Any money brought into school for events should be placed in a named envelope or purse.

The school cannot accept responsibility for valuable possessions that are lost, damaged or misplaced.
